Enjoy the chess world in Bad Laasphe!



 The Chess Club Bad Laasphe 1954 welcomes his visitors from all over the world!


We invite tourists, whose visiting Bad Laasphe to our Game evening, in the hotel Wittgensteiner Hof at Bad Laasphe every Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.


Unfortunately, we have not yet rebuild the whole Homepage on English, but we are trying to do it as soon as we can.

Practice makes perfect!!! 

The youth instruction takes place every Friday evening between six and quarter to eight at a room in the local secondary school.
In the last months between 5 and 10 children take part.

Now the club has 73 members, 9 women and 63 men.
 The whole club is looking forward the 50th anniversary in the year 2004.

 

One of Bad Laasphe ‘s twin towns is Tamworth (England). In this partnership, our president Waldemar Georg represents the Chess club.

 

 


A little anecdote from the club life:
Blind chess world champion “CARBAKAPA” has been guest at Bad Laasphe on February 28th 1975. During a difficult position the club champion Walter Karpf said:“ Dammed, he simply sees everything!”
